Open CloakwireX and tap the shield toggle on. It watches the air and your connection continuously while the app is open, and pushes an alert if something turns hostile. Tap “Sweep” to check everything right now.
Cloak is a one‑tap kill switch. It brings up an on‑device packet tunnel that drops all network traffic — so a compromised app, a remote‑access tool (AnyDesk, Splashtop, etc.), or any exfiltration loses its connection instantly. It connects to no server. Your cellular calls and texts still work; app data is severed until you turn Cloak off. While Cloak is on, scans and browsing won't work — that's by design.
iOS reports when the screen is being captured — a screen recording, AirPlay mirroring, or a remote‑access/monitoring app broadcasting it. If you didn't start it, engage Cloak, then check Control Center and remove any app you don't recognize.
That's an Apple rule: iOS only reveals the current Wi‑Fi network name to an app that has (precise) location access. CloakwireX uses it only to display your Wi‑Fi name — it never records or sends your location.
To listen for nearby Bluetooth advertisements and detect trackers (AirTags, Tile, SmartTag) that may be following you. The app only listens; it connects to a device only if you tap “Identify.”
iOS blocks all App Store apps from scanning nearby Wi‑Fi networks. To see them, run the free CloakwireX Sensor app on a Mac on the same network and pair your phone (Network → ••• → Add Sensor). It also fills in device MAC addresses your phone can't see.
macOS also hides Wi‑Fi names until the Sensor app has Location access. In the Sensor window tap “Open Location Settings,” enable Location Services, and switch CloakwireX Sensor on. Signal and channel work without it.
No app on iOS can — Apple gives apps no access to the cellular baseband. CloakwireX does watch for a forced 2G/3G downgrade, which is a related warning sign, but full IMSI‑catcher detection isn't possible on iPhone.
No app can switch those radios off. Apple Pay is safe by design (it only pays after Face ID/passcode). Turn Bluetooth off from Control Center; use an RFID‑blocking sleeve for physical cards.
